Applied Science is a discipline that applies existing scientific knowledge to develop more practical applications, such as technology or inventions. It applies the basic science toward practical endeavours. It is typically engineering, which develops technology, although there might be feedback between basic science and applied science: research and development (R&D). The Department of Applied Science has senior, experienced and highly qualified staffs in all areas of specializations. Applied Science comprises the subjects like Physics, chemistry and Mathematics. These subjects are mainly concerned with the first year degree engineering course. The basic sciences are very important subjects in the field of engineering and they form a good base for four year degree engineering course of different branches. Applied science department has the following laboratories: Physics, Chemistry, Language The laboratories are well equipped with advanced equipment’s required for conducting the various laboratory experiments of all the subjects. This Department interacts directly with the parents and personal attention has been paid to every entrant to have a feel at home. It also has introduced Teacher Guardian Scheme to carry out the periodical academic evaluation of students. Classrooms are well equipped with high quality furniture’s, Over Head Projectors (OHP) and other teaching aids to promote effective for teaching-learning process. First year classes are well equipped with furniture, O.H.P. and other teaching aids. The overhead projector is more effective for teaching-learning process.
