National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of KCT’s Late G. N. Sapkal College of Engineering, Nashik is committed to fostering social responsibility, leadership, and community engagement among students. Through various social, environmental, cultural, and community-service initiatives, NSS volunteers actively contribute to society while developing a spirit of teamwork and service.

NSS helps students develop civic responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and sensitivity toward society. It also helps students with meaningful opportunities to serve the community, preserve our heritage, promote environmental sustainability, and become responsible citizens.

“Not Me But You”—the NSS motto—continues to inspire our volunteers to work selflessly for the betterment of society.

Objectives

  • Understand the community in which they work
  • Understand themselves in relation to their community
  • Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving
  • Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
  • Utilise their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems
  • Develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities
  • Gain skills in mobilising community participation
  • Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes
  • Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and
  • Practise national integration and social harmony
