Library Rules & Regulations
· All students & staff members of the college are entitled to become members of the library. Students must apply for membership in the prescribed form obtainable from the Librarian. Membership forms will be issued on production of the College Fee Receipt.
· The working hours are between 09.00 a.m and 4.00 p.m Issue-Return time will be 9.30 a.m to 3.30 p.m as per the book lending timetable. Students must produce their Identity Card & Library card whenever they visit the library.
· While entering the Library premises, every member must register their name in the library catalogue kept at the entrance of the library. OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) can be used to minimize the search time for your book of interest.
· Keep your personal belongings such as bags, books, etc. in the property counter. Do not keep any valuables such as cash, mobile phones, ATM cards, etc. in the counter. The library or its staff is not responsible for the loss of any valuables.
· All library books should be handled with due care and consideration. Members should not mark, write on or disfigure the books in any way.
· Students & Staff can recommend or suggest the books required in the library through a prescribed format.
· Maintain Silence in the Library
· Keep your Cell phone switched off within library premises.
· Per student, 4 books will be issued for a period of 15 days & for teaching staff, 10 books will be issued for the semester and 2 books for non-teaching staff. The defaulters who return the books after the due time will be charged a fine of Rs. 5/- per day.
· Outstanding Books issued to a member (all categories) will not be transferred in the name of any other member.
· Periodicals are to be referred to within the library & will not be issued under any circumstances.
· No personal belongings, including books, are allowed inside the library
· If the Library card is lost, the new card will be issued on payment of Rs. 50/-
· I-Card may be replaced with the permission of the Principal on payment of Rs. 400/-.
· If any student is found willfully violating the rules and regulations of the library. The membership can be suspended for 15 days with the permission of the Principal.
All Students & staff members are requested to cooperate with the Library Staff for smooth functioning.
